  • Romeo & Juliet – Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre

This summer, I had the joy of playing Juliet in Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre’s 21st anniversary season production of Romeo & Juliet. It was a wonderfully queer production, and we had an absolute blast rehearsing in Chicago, knowing that we would move to an outdoor stage in Frankfort, MI where everything would have to adapt in a few short days. Throughout the process, I’ve never felt safer exploring the ways in which relationships in the play were altered by freshly exposed layers of gender identity.
